General Tab

This tab controls the "Application" page of the applicant's file.  Activate a field by typing a field name as it should be displayed on the Application page using the open text box. The field is inactivated if the caption box is left blank.

Three of the fields can be posted to the Online Application for data gathering directly from the Applicant and have additional functionality within the system. The functionality of each field is hardcoded and depends on the field itself. Be sure to turn it on in the Admin > Website > Career Portal > Online Application Tab > Contact Info Page > Edit the page and adding the attributes and questions to post to allow the applicant to see this information.

Field Details
Referral Source  Drop-Down list populated from the Admin > Codes > Referral Source.
This field is used in the Referral Source Search and can be used as a filter for all Applicant Reports.
Position Desired Drop-Down list populated from Admin > Codes > Position Desired.
This field is used in the Position Desired Search and can be used as a filter for all the Applicant Reports.
It is NOT the same as a requisition.
Desired Salary This is a fill-in-the-blank field but security to this field can be controlled via Group security.

The remaining fields can be posted to the Self Service view on the Application Questions page but often are not used.  The question wording on the website and the functionality of each field are hardcoded and depends on the field itself. Be sure to turn it on in the Admin > Website > Career Portal > Self Service Module > Application Questions > Edit the list on the bottom of the page to allow the applicant to see this information.

NOTE
: Often clients choose to set up "Application Questions" in the Page Builder section because the question, format and drop-down values can be controlled by the client using this option.

Applicant Miscellaneous Tab

This tab controls the "Miscellaneous" page of the applicant's file. Activate a field by typing a field name as it should be displayed on the Miscellaneous page using the open text box. The field is inactivated if the caption box is left blank.

The very first field on this tab controls the name of the page.  If the page name is left blank, the page in the drop-down in the Applicant's file will display as "Misc"; otherwise, the name entered will appear in the drop-down.

Each of the twenty (20) fields can be in a fill-in the blank or a drop-down format. All fields are stored in the database as a 'character' field even if numbers or dates are entered.  To make the field appear as a drop-down, check the box next to the caption.  The field name will then appear under Admin > Codes > Miscellaneous > Applicants so codes and descriptive values can be entered.

These fields can also be displayed to Applicants by activating the field in the Self Service setup.  Go to Admin > Website > Careers > Self Service tab and edit the Miscellaneous page. Highlight the field which should be displayed using the field selection box at the bottom of the page.  Any field highlighted will appear if this page is active for the applicant or employee.

Applicant/Requisition Miscellaneous Tab

This tab controls the "Miscellaneous" tab of the Applicant/Requisition record.  Activate a field by typing a field name as it should be displayed on the Miscellaneous page using the open text box. The field is inactivated if the caption box is left blank.

Because this set of fields are a cross-over between applicants and requisitions, the values can be seen in two locations. The information is the same no matter which page is used to access the information.
  1. In the Applicant file > Activity Page. The first tab contains all the requisitions for this applicant. Click on the pencil icon to edit the details of the requisition. If a field is activated for usage, it will appear on the second tab.
  2. In the Requisition file > Applicant Page. This page contains all the applicants for this requisition. Click on the pencil icon to edit the details of the requisition. If a field is activated for usage, it will appear on the second tab.
The very first field on this tab controls the name of the tab. If the tab name is left blank, the tab in the detail will display as "Miscellaneous"; otherwise, the name entered will appear on the tab.

Each of the ten (10) fields can be in a fill-in the blank or a drop-down format. All fields are stored in the database as a 'character' field even if numbers or dates are entered. To make the field appear as a drop-down, check the box next to the caption. The field name will then appear under Admin > Codes > Miscellaneous > Applicant/Requisition so codes and descriptive values can be entered.
