The diagrams below are examples only. Your IT infrastructure may be set up differently. These images are provided as a graphical representation of the installation and configuration for Cyber Recruiter and its supporting web pages. Non Public Installation
Use this installation example if there is one location and no need for users to log into the software from a remote location (home or other offices) OR if the connection to the system from remote locations will be via VPN or similar technology. Software will be loaded on a network server, the careers site will be public but Cyber Recruiter (aka "User Application"), SQL and the mail server will be behind firewalls.
Firewall #1 – must allow traffic on port 80 (http) or 443 (https) as well as 25 (emails)
Public Web Server – stores the pages for the careers site, self service portal and agency portal. It must be one of the following configurations
- Windows 2014 (or higher) with IIS installed
Firewall #2 – must allow traffic on port 1433 as well as 25 (emails)
Cyber Recruiter communicates directly with the SQL server internally
- Needs to be SQL Version 2012 or higher. If running higher version, run in compatibility mode for SQL2014
- Must have full text indexing installed
Cyber Recruiter communicates directly with the SMTP server internally
- Must be able to relay emails out of the network
Public Installation
Use this installation example if there are multiple locations or the company wants user’s to be able to remotely access the system and WON’T be using a VPN or similar technology to access the user pages. Software will be loaded on a network server, the careers site and Cyber Recruiter are public, SQL and the mail server will be behind firewalls.
NOTE: This is the configuration used if Cyber Recruiter (aka "User Application") will be hosted or in a SaaS model. In this scenario, the Careers Site will be loaded on the hosted server instead of your server.

Cyber Recruiter communicates directly with the SMTP server internally
