Posting Jobs

After a position is approved, an based on the posting rules established in Page Builder, Cyber Recruiter can post the position the Careers section of the website. When and where the job is posted to the various sites controlled by Cyber Recruiter is controlled by the date fields on the Main page of the requisition. These fields are generally pre-filled by the system based on posting guidelines set in the Admin section.

Posting Positions to the "Career Portal"

This step may be automated based on the setup of the creation process.  If not, take these steps to post the job to the Careers Portal.  Also use this section to understand where the job is currently posting on the Careers Portal.

Go to Requisition File > Main Page
Requisitions post to the website a valid combination is achieved:

  1. Status Field = Open
    • The status is based on the code, not the description seen on the screen.  The code must be "O" or start with the word "OPEN".
  2. Date Posted Internally (aka "Open to Employees") = Prior to the Current Date
    • This date field controls whether an employee logging into the Self Service module can see the job.  If the date field is a value prior to the current date then the job will be shown to an employee.
    • The system determines if an individual is an employee based on the Overall Status assigned.  This status' code must start with the word "HIRED".
  3. Date Posted Externally (aka "Open to Applicants") = Prior to the Current Date
    • This date field controls whether an applicant viewing the Careers Portal or logging into the Self Service module can see the job.  If the date field is a value prior to the current date then the job will be shown to the applicant.
    • The system determines if an individual is an applicant based on the Overall Status assigned. This status' code must NOT start with the word "HIRED".
  4. Remove Posting = Blank or After the Current Date
    • This date field controls whether the job is posted to the website.  If the date is blank or is a future date it will post to the website.

For example, if today's date is August 15, 2022 then the following job would post to the employee's view of the Self Service module but NOT out to the website.  However, on the 19th of August, the job will be shown to employees and applicants in the Self Service module and the job would post to the Careers Portal.

  • Status = Open
  • Date Posted Internally = 8/12/2022
  • Date Posted Externally = 8/19/2022
  • Remove Posting = blank
