Items in yellow could have an impact on your system after the upgrade. Please take note of these items and plan accordingly.

Preparation

If you are upgrading from a version prior to 10.0, you MUST first upgrade to version 10.x To read more about this version, click here.

Additions

  1. Integration to Job Target for job board distribution. Read more here
  2. Careers Site
    1. Locations were added to the requisition in v10.  "City", "State", "City/State", "County", and "Country" have been added as page mapping options to Featured Jobs, Search Jobs, Job Description, Job Browsing. To update your system, update the appropriate page in the Careers module with the new value.
    2. The Job Title on the careers site now uses the logic from the ApplyURL to determine the path to the job.
      1. Customers need to make sure the "ApplyURL" is completed or clicking on the job title will display a 'resource cannot be found' error message.
      2. The "mobile' site should only be used for the Application process and not the careers pages.
  3. Job Board Integration "Error Email": An option to have the SendjobsTocloud program (used to send postings to Indeed) send an email when there are errors has been added.  To use this feature, go to Admin> System setup and add an email address (or more than one) to the "Job Service Emails". Separate multiple email with a semi-colon (;). The email will come from the "default email" on the System Setup page.

Updates

  1. Careers Site
    1. The merge fields for the benefits page on the careers site now correctly displays the benefits from the setup.
  2. Applicant Pages
    1. Martial Statuses:  "Domestic Partnership" has been added to the available options for marital status.  The code in the background is 'P'.
    2. On the offer tab, until an offer is created, the link will say "create". It then changes to "change" after the offer letter is created.  It does not allow you to change the previous offer letter but instead goes through the process again.
    3. PDF creation tool used to create offer letters has been updated to recognize the margin settings established in the template.
    4.  When making a change to the content of a correspondence letter on the correspondence page, the page now correct saves the updated change.
    5. Fill-able forms used for on-boarding in the Enterprise version with the same field multiple times (first name, social, etc.) now merge correctly. If there was a workaround in place this can be removed.  New forms would need to be uploaded for use.
  3. "Job Board" and "Predefined Link" setup pages have been updated to redirect to a Help Central page which gives instructions to contact the support team for assistance.  This will allow the support team to better track which integrations our customers are using and ensure they are set up correctly.
  4. "Advanced Job Posting" has been removed as a menu item and from the requisition. Broadbean is no longer a partner and the integration is not relevant at this point. So the 'advanced posting' feature has been removed from the menus to avoid any confusion. Clients can no longer use the Cyber Recruiter system to post jobs to Broadbean.
  5. Sage Integration
    1. "Shift" has been added to the hiring process so it can be included in the fields sent over to Sage.  The values pull from the Sage system and are available in the hiring process only (not based on mapping from the requisition).
    2. "Union" has been added to the hiring process so it can be included in the fields sent over to Sage.  The values pull from the Sage system and are available in the hiring process only (not based on mapping from the requisition).
    3. Cyber Recruiter has "work email" and "home email" and Sage has "email" and "alt. e-mail". Added "alt. email" to Hire Page which pulls the "work email" to the field as a default and the person doing the hire process can make adjustments. The second email field goes to hrpersnl.p_secemail.
    4. "Nickname" has been added to the list of fields which pass over to Sage.  It is not on the hire page and pulls automatically from the demographics page.
    5. "Country" is now being sent over to the Sage system during the hiring process.  The field is not viewable on the hiring page but is being passed in the background.
    6. "Reason" added as a field to the hire process. This will default to "New Hire", "Rehire" or "Promotion" (based on previous defaults) but will allow the user to change the value if something else is more appropriate for their Sage system.
    7. If a customer has set up their jobs in Sage to specify the "EEOG" and "NOC" fields, these will now be populated during the hire process based on the job selecting.
    8. Sage has updated their veteran's fields. The mapping of these fields has been updated to reflect their new fields.
      1. Vietnam Veteran is no longer sent over
      2. Disabled Veteran, Active Duty Wartime or Campaign Veteran, and Armed Forces Service Medical Veteran have all been updated to map to the correct locations in Sage.
    9. Additional settings have been added to the Sage setup process to allow for Emergency Contacts to be sent to Sage.  The information must be collected as Applicant Misc field and the fields are then mapped on the setup page. Changes are NOT made on the hiring page, the information just goes in the background with the hiring process. If you would like to set up this mapping, change the page name in the URL from Main.aspx to LinkAbra.aspx. The fields are listed on the Field Mappings tab. Contact the support team if you need assistance.
    10. Additional settings have been added to the Sage setup process to allow for skills, education and/or previous employment to NOT send over to the Sage system. If you would like to change these settings, change the page name in the URL from Main.aspx to LinkAbra.aspx.  The fields are listed on the Configuration Options tab. Contact the support team if you need assistance.
  6. Indeed Integration
    1. The IndeedSetup page now correctly displays the 'no' value for optional fields if they are not going in the file.
    2. Two character email addresses are now allowed as a valid email address on the setup page of Indeed. If your email address is only two characters ("hr@...com") for example and you want to change this setting, change the page name in the URL from Main.aspx to IndeedSetup.aspx.  The fields are listed on the Configuration Options tab. Contact the support team if you need assistance.
  7. Report Writer
    1. The view for Applicant notes now includes requisition code so it can be linked back to the requisition tables. After the upgrade the "update data schema" process needs to be run to see the update to the view.
    2. The view for Requisition notes now includes the applicant number so it can be linked back to the applicant tables. After the update, the "update data schema" process needs to be run to see the applicant number.
    3. Updated Izenda files which addressed the ability to access the 'scheduled' page for the reports. Scheduled reports should now send out of the system as expected.
    4. Security updated so the report categories reference the group instead of referencing the first group in the list. If changes were made to correct the inaccuracy in the security it can be undone.
  8. Technical
    1. The "forgot login" link for systems with multiple databases now goes to a page where the user enters the user id and selects the database. Based on the email address the system will trigger an email to the user.
    2. The "ApplyToURL" field has been updated to allow for longer URLs. Previously the limit was 50 characters. It is now 200.
    3. The bulk resume import tool is now packaged with the installation (like Alerts, ReqNotify and "Send Jobs").  This is so all the relevant files are included with the installation and can be updated with new versions as needed. The folder "AdvImportSov" contains all the files and can be moved from the server to a new location on the network to be run (if needed). Clients using this tool should look to this folder to get updated files with new versions.
    4. The config file for the "SendJobs" options (used for posting to Indeed) is now referencing the connection string in the appsettings-overwrite.config file. This program directory must stay in the Cyber Recruiter folder structure and can no longer be put in a different folder on the server.
