The Mass Delete Applicants Processes allows the ability to delete a large group of Applicants simultaneously.  This process CANNOT be undone nor does it confirm deletions.  However, it will indicate the number of Applicants deleted after the process is completed.

Records removed as part of the deletion process are written to the DeletedApps table and can be reported on via the Report Writer.

Use this option carefully.  Visibility Software recommends your IT team doing a backup of the SQL database first. If your system is hosted by VS, then please let us know and we can assist.   Typical use for this feature is to purge ‘Incomplete’ Applicants so that they don’t clog up the system.  Other uses, consider doing with Visibility Software’s Tech Support and/or the help of the organization’s IT team.

Filter Options

If no status and no date are selected, all Applicants will be deleted.

Field  Purpose
Date Entering a date will stop the deletion process so that no Applicants are deleted past this date.

For example, if the date is 12/31/2010, then applicants meeting the rest of the criteria will where their date is prior to 12/31/2010.
Original Application Date Selecting this option directs the process to reference the Original Application Date located on the Status/History page.

This field tracks the date the applicant applied for the first time in the system.  Generally this is the option selected if the goal is to remove incomplete applicants from the system who never finished the online application process.
Last Assign Date Selecting this option directs the process to reference the Assign Date connected to each requisition and to find the most recent time the applicant applied for a position.

This field tracks the date the applicant applied for to all subsequent positions.  Generally this is the option selected if the goal is to remove applicants from the system who haven't applied in a given time. For example, if the corporate policy it so keep records for 7 years, then anyone who applied prior to 7 years (for any job) could be removed using this option.
Applicant Statuses This list provides the various statuses available to refine the mass deletion. Hold the CRTL key to select more than one status. Statuses listed are 'Overall Statuses'.

If a status is not selected, then all Applicants on or before the date entered will be deleted.
