Overview

This section introduces the pieces of the Career Portal along with terminology clarification.
  • Intro Tab – This Tab sets up initial careers pages in which Applicants will start their career search on the corporate website.
    • Featured Jobs Link – this section will pull a summary view of a requisition if the requisition is flagged accordingly on the Requisition File > Main Page > General Tab
    • Search Link – various fields are available here to pull requisition information out to the website for searching. Thus, if a field is selected here, it is a good idea to make sure that field is filled in with the Requisition File > Main Page prior to it posting to the Website. Building that check into the process will help.
  • Job Browsing/Description Tab – This Tab determines job opportunities layout as well as the actual job description. Additional ‘Refer a Friend’ feature.
    • Layout Section – various fields are available to pull requisition information out to the website for the job posting. Thus, if a field is selected, it is a good idea to make sure that field is filled in with the Requisition File > Main Page prior to it posting.
    • Fields Section - various fields are available to pull requisition information out to the website for the job description. Thus, if a field is selected, it is a good idea to make sure that field is filled in with the Requisition File > Main Page prior to it posting.
    • Job Description Section – various fields/tabs are available to pull out the job description to the website. Thus, if a field > tab is selected here, it is a good idea to make sure that field is filled in with the Requisition File > Job Description Page and/or Notes Page prior to it posting.
  • Online Application Tab – This Tab determines the pages of the online application, which pages to pull from the Self Service Portal.
    • Contact Information Page – When turning on the three (3) fields at the top of the page, make sure they are turned on in Admin > Page Builder > Applicant > Miscellaneous. When using Parsing as the starting point for the application, Advanced Parsing must be turned on in Admin > Links > Pre-Defined Links > Advanced Parsing.
    • Various Pages – If the pages selected to capture Applicant information have fields (Example – Contact Information Page – should capture First Name, Last Name, Address, etc…) then make sure those the desired fields are turned on in Admin > Website > Career Portal > Self Service Tab.
  • Self Service Tab – This Tab determines what Employees/Applicants should see when in the Self Service Center.
  • Action Tab – This Tab determines who should be notified when Applicants apply to the system and whether to send an automated Thank You email when Applicants complete the online application.
    • Recruiter/Supervisor – any option that indicates ‘Recruiter’ and/or ‘Supervisor’ requires that a Recruiter and/or Supervisor be named for each requisition in the Requisition File > Main Page. When working the Career Portal it is important to note that the Administrator needs to wait until the page finishes loading before clicking on anything in this portal. If something is clicked before the page finishes loading, the Administrator might freeze the portal and will need to refresh the page before continuing.

Additionally, the Save Changes button is a global ‘Save Changes’ for the portal. It does not differentiate between tabs therefore Cyber Recruiter cannot remember what Tab the Administrator was on before clicking the Save Changes button.
