Based on Group Security settings, users can add, edit or delete educational history.

The Education Tab tracks all the relevant educational history an applicant has which can be evaluated in the job search.  Records can be added to this tab a few different ways. For this overview, the focus will be on the last option.  

  1. A record can be added manually by the applicant.
  2. A record can be automatically added via the parsing engine when the applicant uploads his/her resume.
  3. Records are added via the Education page. 

Summary View

Field/Column/Option  Purpose 
Delete Selected Check the box in the last column and use this button to remove one or more of the educational records on the list. 
Add new Record Click this link to add a new record to the applicant.
    Click this icon to edit or view the current educational record.
  School Displays the name of the school attended.
  Degree Displays the type of degree obtained.
Major Displays the focus of study for the degree obtained.
      Check this box to flag an educational record for deletion.  Once all fields are flagged, use the 'Deleted Selected' button to remove the educational records from the list.

Adding Educational History

Upon pressing 'Add New Record' the page will prompt the user for a few key items.  Fields are presented below in the order they are presented if the user tabs through the page.

Depending on the format selected for the School, Major and Degree these fields could be fill-in-the-blank or drop-down options. 

Field  Purpose 
School Enter or select the school which was attended.
Address 1 Enter the street address of the school.
Address 2 Enter the city, state, zip (etc.) for the school.
Number of Years Attended Enter the number of years the applicant attended the school.
Did you Graduate? Select Yes or No or Still Enrolled as a status for this record.
Note Enter any notes (phone number, details of programs, etc.) which are relevant for this educational record.
Degree Enter or select the degree.
Major Enter or select the major.
GPA Enter the GPA.
Graduation Year Enter the graduation year.

Editing Educational History

Press the   icon to review the details behind the educational history record.  All the fields shown above will be available for review and editing.  If the applicant entered in the record, not all the fields may have been completed.  The applicant can only fill in the fields which are presented to him/her during the online application process.
